Westchiloff Constantin (1877–1945)

Was born in Kamenec-Podolsky (Ukraine) in a family of textile industrialist. Studied painting in Odessa then in Fine Art Academy in Crakow. In 1910 he moved to Paris and exibited in the official Salons Living rooms as well as in Belgium, where the State acquired one of his oil paintings.
In 1940 he moved to Marseilles with his wife and daughter. On January 22nd 1943 thy were arrested and interned in Compiegne, later being transfered to Drancy. On March 23rd 1943 they were assassinated in Auschwitz.
